Your New Role: 

This newly created role is positioned within our Property business, working on the Healthcare Property Trust as part of our Wealth & Capital Markets platform. Australian Unity actively manages more than $4 billion in commercial property assets, including the listed Australian Unity Office Fund, unlisted funds in healthcare and commercial property as well as commercial and development debt funding.

 

The Asset Manager is a key strategic role within the Australian Unity Healthcare Property Trust.  The role is primarily responsible for overseeing all facility, financial, property management, risk and compliance obligations relating to a given portfolio. The role is responsible and accountable for the overall asset optimisation via maximising both income and capital property returns including the execution of specified strategy / business plans for each property.

 

This position reports to the QLD Senior Asset Manager of the Australian Unity Healthcare Property Trust and works closely with other members of the Australian Unity Real Estate Investments team. This role is responsible for managing the day to day issues concerning Australian Unity’s healthcare property investments and providing regular reports on the performance of the investments and the markets we operate in. Whilst providing direction to the Property Managers and building key relationships with tenants. Additionally, you will play a key role in the leading the stakeholders in the provision of major capital works and development projects including assisting in asset acquisitions and/or business development opportunities.

 

Your New Role Looks Like This:

  • Development of asset plans and budgets, ensuring that the assets are performing over the long term.
  • Manage external Property Managers, to ensure all HPT financial, compliance and risk requirements are met.
  • Assisting in asset acquisitions and divestments.
  • Assist with various development projects.
  • Build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including key tenants across the HPT portfolio.
  • Upholding the Australian unity values through being bold, warm and honest.

Does this sound like you?

  • Technical expertise, in contract, commercial, legal, and financial frameworks.
  • Experience in being a positive leader, including the ability to motivate others.
  • A keen interest in the field of Healthcare Property.
  • Relevant property industry experience with strong focus on asset management incorporating development projects.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and strong business and commercial judgement.
  • Tertiary qualifications in property, finance, or a related discipline; or equivalent experience.
