The position:

Assisting the Finance Manager to provide timely, accurate and commercially focused financial and management accounting support pertaining to the Enabling Functions, business unit. You’ll assist in building a strong partnering relationship with the Group Enabling Function teams and Project Managers. This role is for a team player and works closely with the business units to enable fact-based decision making and to achieve business unit strategic goals and targets.

  • Work with EPMO, Commercial & Finance Business Partner -Enabling Functions and Project Managers to establish and support efficient model for project reporting and accounting (both capital and operating costs) – including recording of actuals and reporting
  • Successful delivery of month end, half year, yearend, quarterly forecasting, and strategic planning for assigned Group Enabling Functions.
  • Assist Group Tax and Finance Manager with tax compliance matters including monthly BAS review, FBT return and Annual Income Tax Return.
  • Provide support for and preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations monthly
  • Prepare general ledger reconciliations and Monthly Journal processing
  • Educate and train stakeholders on finance function and control.
  • Assist Finance Managers with any business-related enquiries
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process and system improvement


About you:

  • CA or CPA qualified with 5+ years relevant accounting experience
  • Experience working within a mid to large and complex organisation (desirable)
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
  • Experience in system processes, variance analysis, reconciliations, issue resolution and process improvement
  • Experience in forecasting and budgeting
  • Proficiency in Excel and computer literate in a range of financial software and accounting packages (Sun System, Coupa and TM1 desirable)
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage and interpret large data sets
  • Drive to achieve results within time constraints and conflicting priorities
  • Excellent inter-personal and stakeholder management skills
