The Role
Due to our digital transformation project, an exciting opportunity has become available to for a Process and Quality Analyst to join Australian Unity Bank for a 9 month fixed term contract to develop, document, and implement efficient and effective processes. This highly mixed role is rarely the same day to day.  It involves supporting an operational and quality program to a high standard where attention to detail is essential, and requires a keen focus on customer experience and regulatory banking requirements. 


You’ll be reporting to the Head of Operations and Projects and working to support the Process and Quality Manager to deliver these key accountabilities: 

•    Develop, document, and implement efficient and effective processes. 
•    Support the quality monitoring program, whilst also mitigating operational risks.
•    Perform periodic control checks for the business.
•    Co-ordination with document stakeholders and document library management.
•    Provide support to project teams as required.  
•    Assist stakeholders with training requirements where there are process changes within their business areas. 
•    Focus on customer experience; to assess whether processes are followed by staff and customer needs are being met.
•    Assist in the investigation process where potential fraud has occurred. 
•    Assist in the Bank’s scheduled audits conducted by internal and external auditors.
•    Prepare and provide information where required.
•    Provide feedback or clarification on processes when required. 
•    Support the implementation of treatment plans completed by the business.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
•    Strong process writing capabilities.
•    Similar experience working in a process improvement/analyst/project management area of a financial institution.
•    Time management and ability to work independently to deadlines.
•    The ability to demonstrate and quantify cost savings, efficiency gains or quality improvements. 
•    An eye for continuous improvement opportunities and attention to detail. 
•    Proven capability to deliver process improvement initiatives with the external customer’s needs and operational efficiencies considered.
•    An understanding in various areas of Banking regulatory obligations or governance processes: AML / CTF, Business Continuity, Financial Claims Scheme, Payment Card Industry – Data Security Standard, Open Banking, Privacy, FATCA and CRS.   Operational experience in these areas is advantageous.

•    Ultracs Core Banking System experience advantageous.
