Your New Role:

An exciting opportunity has become available within our IAL Group. This role seeks opportunities that ensure an understanding of the needs and preferences of our customers and explores best practice initiatives with the aim to exceed, wherever possible, these expectations.


Your New Role Looks Like This:

This position will ensure that there is a culture of continuous quality improvement within Australian Unity and the Independent and Assisted Living (IAL) businesses that meets relevant legislative, regulatory and professional guidelines including accreditation standards. This will include the following key activities:


  • Provide leadership through an inclusive relationship with relevant IAL managers to ensure appropriate industry accreditation standards are identified, addressed and met.
  • Coordinate the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of quality improvement practices for all IAL businesses.
  • Ensure key personnel across the IAL businesses are informed and current in their knowledge of continuous improvement practices, accreditations status and the required audit preparations and plans.
  • Attend, as delegated, and provide support during all third party audits and assessments at IAL businesses to support positive performance and outcomes.
  • Complete internal audits. This includes review of clinical files as part of the IAL clinical governance program (where appropriately clinically qualified)
  • Review and evaluate quality (and where qualified) clinical outcomes and appropriately report and record findings.
  • Report relevant quality data and KPI’s, including comparative analysis in order to inform ongoing develop of quality and compliance in both clinical and non clinical IAL business operations.
  • Drive a genuine, customer centric culture through sustained customer service commitment
  • Support an operationally sustainable system to listen, learn and respond to customer and employee feedback


About You:

  • Undertaken relevant education aligned to quality systems, internal assessment and relevant accreditation standards eg Quality Assessor
  • Preferred degree qualified in nursing or related health qualification
  • 2 years’ experience in quality accreditation systems and leading change
  • Industry experience relevant to the IAL business portfolio
  • Able to drive (current driver’s licence)
  • Demonstrable track record of achieving sustained service improvement underpinned by evidence-based practice
  • A strong working knowledge of the accreditation frameworks surrounding the Aged Care, Independent Living and Home Care Services business
