Your opportunity


A pivotal leadership role in the Wealth & Capital Markets Marketing team, this role works closely with the Head of Marketing, Business Unit leaders and Distribution teams to set the strategic marketing plan for two of Australian Unity’s W&CM businesses, Investments and Property.


The role is responsible for leading the Investments and Property team which includes two Marketing Managers. The role will lead the establishment and implementation of the marketing and communications strategy.


  • Develop and implement B2B / B2C strategies and activity plans for Property and Investments with clear objectives and measures in place.
  • Work collaboratively with the Investments and Property leadership teams to deliver aligned B2B business and marketing strategies and communications plans.
  • Manage the prioritisation of marketing activity - based on business objectives and ROI.
  • Develop ongoing  reporting dashboard on progress and results of campaigns and initiatives.
  • Constantly look for opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of marketing activity.
  • Support the development of a digital roadmap and vision for AUI for marketing and sales.
  • Support the development and implementation of the direct product and marketing strategy, including product design, digital UX and digital GTM.
  • Lead the setup and delivery of marketing automation strategies and campaigns.
  • Foster a culture of considered test and learn, customer centred user experience design and continual optimisation with customer insights and analytics at the core of all digital activity.
  • Work with the broader AUI marketing team and cross-functional areas to deliver economies of scale with re-use across AUI and through our other diverse businesses
  • Lead the team to deliver best in class marketing (customer-centric and results orientated) communications, including presentations, adviser updates, FAQs, educational material, and other collateral.


About you

Your expertise and qualifications will include:


  • Experience in a marketing and communications role for a financial services company – at least 8 years’ experience.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of the financial services industry, investmentsand the intermediated channel.
  • Degree in communications, professional writing, public relations or marketing.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management – the ability to establish effective relationships with internal and external clients in a demanding environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail – ‘a job worth doing is worth doing well’.
  • Strong writing skills – the person must have a solid background in professional writing and editing with a wide variety of materials.
  • A team player.
  • Strong work ethic and self-discipline.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Patience – able to persist in spite of barriers or difficulties.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • First class organisational skills.
