The position

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technology Lead to deliver robust solutions that meet the needs of our People & Culture business while maintaining operational excellence. In this newly created role, you will be required to analyse, design, develop and maintain scalable, secure and operationally stable solutions with an emphasis on innovation and delivering business value.

You will provide solution design capability for our key SAP People Connect implementation project to ensure solutions delivered meet the needs of our People & Culture business and the overarching technology requirements. Pivotal to this role will be your collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders to determine functionality and implementation of the technology platforms. The successful candidate will own and drive the technical delivery of the SAP programs of work and in doing so provide technical leadership in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. 


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Implement the agreed Technology Roadmap including strategic governance (via Architect).
  • Design, build, test and deploy software solutions across multiple platforms.
  • Identify and manage technology debt and associated risks.
  • Work closely with the Architecture team to design and implement technology solutions to lifecycle our existing Human Capital Management system. 
  • Ensure reuse and alignment of capability and technology resources with the remainder of the People & Culture business and wider Group.
  • Deliver on changes requested by the People & Culture business and take into consideration quality, cost and scope.
  • Drive and demonstrate measurable continuous improvement on process efficiency & cost effectiveness of the services delivered.

Is this you?

  • In depth knowledge of documentation, coding, testing and deployment using multiple development languages and platforms.
  • Prior exposure to working with People Connect is advantageous however not a deal-breaker.
  • Proven project and delivery skills in addition to the ability to work in an Agile environment.
  • Strong understanding of Integration approaches and best practices
  • 4+ years’ experience in a technical leadership role with demonstrable experience in delivering scalable, secure and resilient solutions
  • Ability to understand the essential needs of users and meet business needs with well-designed software applications and solutions.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and trust amongst a cross-functional team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in addition to solid time and resource management.
