Your New Role:

 

Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Lead – Home Care, Disability Services and Indigenous Services, the Talent Acquisition Specialist – Indigenous Services will partner with the Indigenous Services business and People Leaders to support current and future resource planning, recruitment service delivery and strategic sourcing for our Aboriginal Home and Community Care programs.

 

Based in Sydney or Regional NSW, you will drive talent business partnering across Indigenous Services to develop and drive recruitment strategies across our footprint and locally.

 

Acting as a brand ambassador, you will form a critical part of our Aged Care talent acquisition strategy, to drive and support sustained workforce growth whilst partnering effectively with key stakeholders.

 

Your New Role Looks Like This:

 

  • Engaging with the Indigenous Services business, Hiring Managers, and other key stakeholders to successfully deliver key resourcing initiatives and assignments in line with the business needs and demand forecasts
  • Managing volume recruitment projects and campaigns including direct and virtual assessment centres and MOB days and events and supporting the Hiring Leaders to facilitate these with required support
  • Manage all relationships and utilisation of recruitment agency partners in adherence with Australian Unity agreements and protocols
  • Working closely with hiring managers to develop and coach their recruiting capability and skills
  • Assessing candidate applications, screening, interviewing, recommending shortlists, offer management and managing a portfolio of requisitions to agreed cost, quality and time parameters
  • Working with the Talent Acquisition and Sourcing Leads to ensure that proactive candidate talent pipelines are developed to minimise business interruption, through proactively creating both active and passive candidate markets for strategic and critical roles
  • Acting as an advocate and brand ambassador to communicate Australian Unity’s employment brand (EVP) to the Indigenous Communities and Community Business Partner Organisations to develop our reputation as an Employer of Choice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • Working collaboratively with our Candidate Care and Onboarding team to facilitate efficient and timely onboarding of new hires.
  • Developing appropriate and effective direct sourcing strategies for key roles and job families being recruited

 

 About You:

 

You will be a motivated Talent Specialist with experience delivering recruitment projects which align to inclusion, diversity, and cultural awareness for Indigenous talent, whilst effectively communicating the Employee Value Proposition (EVP), purpose and values.    

 

Does this sound like you?

 

  • Demonstrated talent acquisition experience managing end-to-end recruitment lifecycles ideally within an internal Talent Acquisition function with experience in recruiting to regional and remote areas.
  • Prior Aged Care, Disability Services and/or Healthcare industry recruitment experience would be desirable but is not mandatory.
  • Experience managing volume recruitment projects and assessment centres including across virtual platforms
  • Previous experience recruiting across varied roles and levels including customer facing, corporate and specialist/leadership roles across varying geographic locations.
  • Exceptional candidate management and stakeholder engagement capability. From application to onboarding stage, you take pleasure in providing a premium candidate and stakeholder experience.
  • Proven ability to leverage sourcing and talent pool development opportunities within Indigenous community groups
  • Proficient with and capable using direct sourcing tools including LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed and SEEK Premium Talent Search.
  • Proven ability around excellent time management and the flexibility to handle changing priorities.
