We are currently seeking a Permanent Part-Time Community Access Coordinator with an understanding to the needs of local communities and key local partners to be a key part of the Western Aboriginal Home Care branch team based at Wilcannia, contributing to continued business growth, by promoting our services to attract new customers and referrals.


You will be involved in the following and more in this rewarding community focused role:


  • Present Australian Unity’s comprehensive, complex, and diverse range of products and services through various community channels and events.
  • Onboard new customers and developing their initial support plan.
  • Provide a clear and concise handover of the new customer to the relevant branch Service Coordinator to ensure an ongoing positive experience for the customer.
  • Create product awareness and building familiarity with the Aboriginal Home Care brand as a leading provider of health and community services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.  


You will have a deep understanding of the needs of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities. In addition, you will also show a genuine passion and commitment for working in aged and disability care.


Does this sound like you?


  • A proactive and contributing member of an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community
  • The ability to identify, quantify and nurture local relationships to attract new customers and identify unmet needs in the community.
  • Be a natural communicator with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
  • Proven ability and experience in previous roles where you have had to review and deliver policies and procedures for services within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and other organisations.
